The DVC(UA) chairs the Cultural and Community Relations Advisory Group (CCRAG), established by University Council in 2002 to provide advice on cultural and community relations issues and to make recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor on the use of special funding set aside each year for University-level cultural and community activities.

The CCRAG makes recommendations for funding on the basis of the values and strategic objectives outlined in the Cultural Strategic Plan to ensure that funded cultural and community activities are consistent with the values and strategic objectives of the University, that they achieve public prominence and that they are effectively coordinated on an open and contest able basis.
